We were recently thrilled to receive our very first Incite Insight Notebooks! It’s been something on our wishlist for a long time – a notebook that our clients and fans could take home with them to continue inspiring them even when they’re not here at Catalyst Ranch. So, we partnered with Shawn Smith who owns Resketch, a business which repurposes unused paper into artists’ sketch pads. We provided the colorful prompt pages, Shawn provided his own prompt pages along with the repurposed paper. Shawn prints the incite insight logo on the front, one of our Ranch Hands hand stamps a unique cover that includes our company mascot, Pogo, our monkey on a pogo stick. No two books are alike.
The first 10 notebooks were recently purchased by clients from London who maxed out their allotted luggage weight maximums and determined that they unfortunately couldn’t fit more than ten. But we were thrilled to find that we weren’t the only ones smitten by these books.
And then a week ago, as I was minding my own business reading the Blue Sky Innovation section of the Chicago Tribune, I spotted a story about Shawn from Resketch. He has started a new Kickstarter campaign for a pocket-size version of his notebook called Resketch Mini. The project is part of Seed Chicago, a program that boosts potential crowdfunders and highlights their efforts on a curated Kickstarter page. Seed Chicago supports crowdfunding campaigns by small businesses and underserved communities to give them broader exposure as well as access to networks and coaching. It’s a collaboration among the city of Chicago, World Business Chicago and Accion Chicago, a nonprofit organization that provides loans and coaching to underserved entrepreneurs in Illinois and northwest Indiana.
Shawn has already surpassed his funding goal of $3,500. As of today, he’s raised almost $7,500! Go Shawn!
