The workshop curriculum is focused on work/life integration and is geared toward providing actionable insights to women with established careers from a variety of industries who find themselves at a turning point in their lives. Such turning points might include new responsibilities, career changes, life changes – anything that provides a woman the opportunity to stop and reconsider her life.
The following speakers bring their life experiences and subject matter expertise to light so that participants leave the workshop with two pieces of paper – a unique and actionable Life Transformation Plan and an Action Plan to support its execution. In addition, they leave with newfound connections to others in the Triple W Forum community. The Triple W Forum Bazaar will resemble a work/life integration marketplace and is the final component of the workshop on Saturday. At the Bazaar, participants will have the opportunity to take what they've learned throughout the Triple W Forum curriculum and discover services and resources to help make their learnings actionable.

How to Self Destruct
There are things you do every day that you think are good for you, that actually hold you back at work. Problem is, the things I'm talking about are very likely not the things you're thinking of. Learn why something as simple as asking your boss for clearer directions can sink your career... and the surefire alternatives almost no one does.
I want to live a better story... or at least, I want to tell my current story better. That's what led me to write How to Self-Destruct. The book is about the dozens of things people I, you, and countless others do every day that they think are good for us, but that actually keep us from living that better story.
For instance, I bet you didn't know that asking your boss for clearer directions can sink your career, did you?
Come spend an hour laughing at the ridiculousness of humanity, while getting a few tips on how to avoid the most egregious mistakes people make. Plus, if you want, maybe you'll even find the courage to tell a story of your own!
Normally, this space is where the speaker would tell you all about his or her experience. (For instance, about how Jason has worked with executives and managers for 10 years, or has an MBA from Kellogg, or has taught leadership to graduate students...) But not this time. Because let's face it: no one cares. All those gurus out there, claiming to have the secret to success, boasting marquee client lists and loads of references, and the business world is still a mess.
Clearly, while people may feign an interest in the pursuit of success, no one wants to achieve it.
So here's a bio that matters:
Jason Seiden thinks the world is great just as it is. He loves how many people who know all the right things to say in their heads can't actually verbalize those words in the moment. He thinks emotional hang-ups are fascinating. And most of all, he believes that change is a waste of time. Develop? Please. Development is risky, difficult, and stressful.
And we're supposed to embrace it?
I don't think so.
Jason is a guy with something to say that actually makes sense. Come give him a listen.

UNFEAR: Facing Change in an Era of Uncertainty
Join us for a Book Launch Party on September 23! Karlin Sloan's latest breakthrough business book - UNFEAR - is coming out this September, and we're celebrating. We'll hear a few words from our esteemed author, and profits from Unfear's launch day on Amazon.com (September 9, 2010 - be sure to make your purchase them) will be donated to Conservation International - helping communities, countries and societies protect tropical forests, lush grasslands, rivers, wetlands, abundant lakes and the sea. We'll have some snacks and some margaritas, and prizes for lucky raffle winners.
Today’s corporate leaders are expected to work with fewer people and resources and yet perform at higher levels of productivity, which often results in fear-based behaviors that can sabotage organizational success. Unfear: Facing Change in an Era of Uncertainty by Karlin Sloan gives you powerful techniques to make decisions out of hope and purpose, rather than out of fear. You’ll learn how to develop the mental stamina you need to make it through tough times, bounce back through upsets, and help both you and your company thrive. Inspirational and helpful, Unfear is groundbreaking and can change the world—and your company—for the better.

Everything I Know about Marketing I Learned from Google
C’mon, admit it. Every now and then, when you think no-one’s looking, you Google yourself. Maybe it’s a daily habit. Or maybe you’ve only done it once just to see what would happen.
Don’t worry. You’re not alone. Millions of people around the world Google themselves every day. And billions more Google other topics of interest.
But have you ever Googled your business or organization? This time, I don’t mean searched for a name on Google. I mean actually making your business more like Google.
The time has come to Google your brand. And the book is here to show you how.
In this interactive session, digital marketing guru Aaron Goldman will share some of the “Googley Lessons” outlined in his book and teach you how to better engage your customers and prospects.
He’ll also conduct white board exercises using real examples from attendees and their organizations to bring his lessons to life.
Over the past 10 years, Aaron has worked with marketers to spend hundreds of millions of dollars with Google including brands like Apple, Bank of America, Dell, FedEx, and Frito Lay. He currently serves on the executive board of directors for the Chicago Interactive Marketing Association. For his day job, Aaron runs a digital marketing consulting and matchmaking firm called Connectual.
