Now that we have had a moment to breathe and are back to the business of business, we can look back and bask in the afterglow of our Anniversary Party.  It was one to remember!

On November 14th, 2016, a beautiful Monday night, Catalyst Ranch had the great fortune of celebrating 14 years in style; with a fabulous soiree and 100 of our closest friends and compatriots.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by the fabulous Doug, a dynamic juggler from The Actors Gymnasium balancing on a giant stability ball, and had their pictures taken by On the Spot Photo Magnets to be made into a keepsake magnet to take home. Singer/songwriter Brian Allison set the mood as he welcomed everyone with songs from different genres.

When they turned the corner our guests could peek at the wonderful cake made for us by The Swedish Bakery, who supply our delightful baked goods for our morning Continental breakfasts, and the turn left to grab a drink and a tasty bite from our exclusive corporate catering partner, Big Delicious Planet.

Before our show began, just after 7pm, Catalyst Ranch owner Eva Niewiadomski welcomed everyone and gave a few anecdotes about the humble beginnings of this great enterprise, including a tribute to her late father, Adam, without whose help this dream would never have been possible. Bouquet of felt flowers from the staff

Then the show began! MC and Business Development Networking Ninja Tehilla Newman revved up the crowd before, after, and in between performers.  First up was Matt Baron, a Chicago public school teacher turned songwriter who uses music and laughter to teach English as a second language.  He had the crowd laughing and singing along. Next up was Jen Bosworth, who gave us a hilarious and touching sample of her one-woman show, Why Not Me, which goes up at Catalyst Ranch via Ignite Theatre in December.  Rounding out our trio of entertainers was Emmy winner Ben Hollis, who gave an example of What’s It Like to be Youa brilliant way to get audience members to participate in a way that is not intimidating.

Anniversary Party Invite

All in all, it was a fantastic Anniversary Party and a great way to celebrate Chicago’s Most Creative Meeting & Events space! Looking forward to next year and the year after that and the year after that. . .
