  • What is the most fascinating part of your business that people wouldn’t know about?

  • If you could tell your younger self one thing about the business that would prove invaluable, what would it be?

We all have our own special talents and abilities. I have found that it is important to embrace who you are and how your differentiating skills come together, both on a personal and professional level, to find true fulfillment and success in life. We are often driven to pursue world-class excellence at everything, while mastering nothing.

  • What is your favorite saying or your “words to live by”?

How old will be you be in seven years if you don’t go to medical school? – Pauline Phillips (“Dear Abby”)

By 2003 I had taken a 15-year hiatus from the business world to raise my family. I had always wanted to run my own food business, but knew that it takes many years of hard work and commitment before most entrepreneurs see their first success and was hesitant about where this would leave me if everything did not work out as planned. Pauline’s words of inspiration have guided me in many areas of my life, and her advice to a reader in his mid-30s who feared he was too old to make the long-term commitment necessary to become a doctor rang true. It is never too late to pursue your dreams.

  • What was the most influential book you ever read?

The Diary of Anne Frank. Anne had so much cause in her life to become bitter, depressed and resentful, yet she remained positive and hopeful throughout the difficult transition and experiences she went through. Her story serves as an inspiration during life’s challenging moments, and helps us to appreciate all the good we have in our lives.

  • What’s your favorite thing about partnering with Catalyst Ranch?

Clients turn to Zelda’s Kosher Gourmet for our creative and innovative approach to events and Kosher catering. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to partner with such an exceptional organization which shares our strategic vision for using innovative settings and experiences to make a lasting impression on our clients.
